PAYMENT PLANS TO RESOLVE DELAWARE BACK TAXES

Here are a couple basic tips about payment plans to satisfy your personal or business tax liability:
  • Taxpayers can avoid a tax judgment/lien from being filed if
    • You are proactive and work to find a solution before a judgment is filed, and
    • You set up a 24 to 48-month payment plan via direct debit from your bank account or paycheck.
  • Tax judgment/lien will be filed for any payment plan that exceeds 48 months.
Quick Tip:  Similar to the IRS Currently Not Collectible Status, DE-DOR may be willing to delay collecting on your back-tax debt, if you can prove that you are financially unstable.
