What Tax Relief Can M&M Provide That I Can't Do Myself?

I was speaking to a potential client this morning and was asked the question, “What can you do that I can’t do myself”?  My name is Mark Mitchell, President of M&M Financial Consulting.  I have been helping business owners resolve IRS tax problems for the last 15 years and this is one of the most frequent questions I am asked.

I could write a few pages on the subject, but I’ll keep it short for time sake.  The first thing to understand when a business is attempting to resolve an IRS employment tax liability is that it is not the same as owing a typical creditor.  In many cases, you cannot simply call the IRS and set up a payment plan that same day.  In fact, the IRS considers Installment Agreements for back 941 payroll taxes more of a privilege, definitely not a right.

If your business is behind on payroll taxes of $25,000 or more, your case will be assigned to a Revenue Officer whose main function is to collect the tax as quickly as possible.  The Revenue Officer is trained and required to follow a set procedures to facilitate collection the past due tax.  IRS Collection Policies and Procedures permit installment agreements only after the Service has exhausted other option to collect the tax in full.  To learn more on how to successfully resolve an outstanding 941 payroll tax liability, watch this video on the M&M Tax Resolution System.  It is very informative and helpful.

Do You have the resources for tax relief?

The second thing to realize is that resolving an IRS employment tax debt takes know-how, time and other resources.  Most small business owners barely have enough time to run their business and keep up with their personal life, let alone enough time to learn the IRS Collection Procedures.  It's simply a good business decision to hire a competent tax resolution specialist to handle your back tax issues.  As a business owner, your time is valuable and limited.  We find that small business owners trying to resolve their own tax debt often become overwhelmed, miss deadlines and unknowingly skipping vital steps in the process.
