IRS Online Installment Agreement

In certain back-tax cases, the IRS allows taxpayers to set up a formal Installment Agreement online. If you are an individual with an IRS income tax liability of $50,000 or less, you may be eligible. To apply for your online Installment Agreement with the IRS, you will need some basic information, including:
  • Valid email address
  • Social Security number or Individual Tax ID number (and spouse’s);
  • Date of birth;
  • Caller ID number, shown at the top of your recent notice;
  • PIN, if you have one. If not, you need your AGI;
  • Bank address;
  • Employer address;
  • Highest amount you can pay, and when you can pay it; and
  • Have your tax return handy to verify information.
You may even receive immediate notification of the IRS’ approval of your online Installment Agreement.  The IRS Online Payment Agreement Application is available for use at the times below.
  • Monday through Friday 6am – 12:30am, ET
  • Saturday, 6am – 10pm, ET
  • Sunday, 6pm – 12am, ET
Sometimes IRS and State Installment Agreements are simple to get. Other times, the IRS and State taxing authorities can make resolving your tax debt seem impossible.  That’s where M&M Financial steps in.  Contact us to find out how we can help.  And, ask us about our sister company Fresh Start Tax Relief.
